How do you connect WhatsApp to moj?
With a code that you send to moj on WhatsApp. In moj, open Settings at the top right of “Today” and tap “WhatsApp”. You will find the moj number and your code there, for example MOJ-4821.
Tap “Open in WhatsApp”. WhatsApp opens a chat with moj, with the first message already filled in: “My code: MOJ-4821”. Send it.
moj replies with “Linked to” and the name of your family space. From then on you just send everything to this number.
Every member links their own number, children too. Messages to moj go through WhatsApp and so through Meta. The app also tells you this before you link.
What do you do when moj does not reply?
- Check the number. The message has to go to the number moj shows you in Settings.
- Check the code. It is valid for 15 minutes. An expired code gets the reply “The code is invalid or has expired”. You get a new one in Settings under “WhatsApp”.
- Check whether you have blocked the number. How to unblock it is explained just below.
- Write to us. If moj still does not reply, the fault is ours.
A reply usually takes a few seconds, and a little longer for a voice message. What happens when the AI fails is explained on AI and your data.
How do you unblock a blocked number?
In WhatsApp, not in moj. This is how WhatsApp’s own help describes it:
- iPhone: “Settings” › “Privacy”, then the list of blocked contacts. Swipe left on the number there and tap “Unblock”.
- Android: the menu with the three dots › “Settings” › “Privacy”, then the list of blocked contacts. Tap the number there and unblock it.
Anything you sent while the number was blocked will not arrive later either. Send it again.

What does “Your number isn’t linked to moj yet” mean?
moj does not know the number the message came from. The number is not stored. Link it as described above.
What does “Your messages land in no family space right now” mean?
The number is linked, but its family space is gone. Either you left it, you were removed, or it was deleted.
If you are no longer in any family space, nothing reaches moj. Then join a space first, or create one.
In moj, open the space your messages should go to from now on. Then tap WhatsApp in Settings. If you are only in one space, moj reconnects the number by itself. If you are in several, tap “From now on in …”.
Which family space do your messages go to?
Exactly one. If you are in several, the WhatsApp page in Settings says which one it is: “Your messages land in …”.
To change it, first switch to the space your messages should go to from now on. You do that on “Today” by tapping the space’s name at the top left. Then tap “From now on in …” with its name on the WhatsApp page. The change applies from your next message.
moj’s reply to a message then begins with the name of the space. That way you always know where something ended up.
What can you send on WhatsApp?
Text, voice messages, photos and PDFs, each file up to 20 MB. moj does not read videos, stickers or locations. It tells you so rather than quietly losing them.
Children can send text and voice messages. moj does not accept photos or PDFs from them. What moj understands is shown on what you can send.
Can you remove the link or change your number?
Not by yourself yet. Write to us and we will remove the old link. Then link the new number as described above.
If you delete your account, the link is removed at once.
How do you write to us from WhatsApp?
Start the message with “Feedback:”. It then comes to us instead of going into your lists. moj replies with “Thanks, that reached us.”

How long is the WhatsApp code valid?
15 minutes. If it has expired, open Settings in moj and tap “WhatsApp” again. That gives you a new one.
Can I add moj to a WhatsApp group?
No. Each member writes to moj on their own, from their own number. The others still see in the app whatever arrives.
Does moj store my number if it is not linked?
No. An unknown number gets a reply that explains how to link it. The number is not stored.
Can I unlink my number myself?
Not yet. Write to us and we will unlink it. If you delete your account, the link is removed at once.
