What is free, and what does moj Plus do?
moj sorts 30 messages a month for free in each family space. Everything else costs nothing: lists, calendar, receipts, reminders and widgets.
moj Plus lifts this limit. It covers everyone in the family space, however many of you there are.
What counts as one sorting?
Any message that moj itself files into your lists, the calendar or the receipts. It does not matter whether it came by WhatsApp, by email or in the app. A message with three things in it counts once. A change counts too, such as “Bins are out”.
moj counts per family space, for everyone in it together. That means messages from children and caregivers count too. If you live in two households, both share the same 30.
These do not count:
- Messages you took back with “undo”.
- A follow-up question from moj: your message and your answer to it count once between them.
- Questions you ask moj, such as “What’s on at the weekend?”.
- Anything you add in the app yourself, for example with “Add to the list”.
Adults see the count in Settings under “moj Plus”: “Free · 12 of 30 this month”. The month starts at midnight on the first, in your family space’s time zone. When you are running low, moj shows a line on “Today” saying how many are left. The adults in the space see it.
What happens after the last free message?
Nothing is lost. moj keeps every message after that as a note. It does not read photos or PDFs in the meantime. They stay attached to the note. moj still answers questions about your entries.
On WhatsApp the reply is “Arrived and kept as a note.” On the first of the next month moj starts sorting again.
In that case a message from a child or a caregiver goes to the history. You open the history in Settings. If someone lives in a household of their own, their message appears only in their own history.
Besides the monthly limit there is a daily emergency brake. If moj asks the AI too often in one day, it keeps everything else that day as notes. It also answers no more questions until the next day.
moj does not go back and sort what it kept as a note, not even once you buy moj Plus. Send it again, or add it yourself. Adding things yourself always works, even after the limit.
If you photograph a bill during this time, moj does not create a receipt. That means there is no reminder of its deadline either. Add the deadline as a task instead, or send the photo again on the first.
What does moj Plus cost?
€4.99 a month or €44.99 a year. Outside the euro area, the App Store converts the price into the currency it uses there. Checked with Apple on 9 October 2026.
One subscription covers the whole family space. If you are in several spaces, each space needs its own.
Who pays when there are several households in the space?
One person pays for everyone. A subscription belongs to the family space, not to one person or one household. It cannot be split.
The person who pays sees the sentence “You are the one paying.” under “moj Plus”. Everyone else sees “moj Plus is active” there. After “Restore purchases” moj no longer knows who pays. Then the person paying sees “moj Plus is active” as well.
If the person paying leaves the space, moj Plus carries on for as long as their subscription runs. Only they can cancel it, in the App Store. If they restore their purchase in another space, moj Plus applies only there from then on.
How do you buy moj Plus?
In moj, open Settings at the top right of “Today” and then “moj Plus”. Choose yearly or monthly and tap “Subscribe to moj Plus”. You pay through the App Store.
Admins and adults in the family space can buy it. moj shows this screen only to them.
You cannot buy moj Plus in the Android version yet.
How do you restore a purchase?
In “moj Plus”, tap “Restore purchases”. moj then asks the App Store for your subscription and shows “Restored” or “No subscription found”.
The subscription then applies to whichever family space you are in at that moment. If you are in several, switch to the right one first. Otherwise the subscription moves to the other space.
How do you cancel moj Plus?
In moj, go to “moj Plus” and tap “Manage subscription”. That opens the App Store’s subscription settings. On the iPhone you can also go there directly: “Settings” › your name › “Subscriptions” › moj › “Cancel Subscription”. Checked with Apple on 9 October 2026.
After you cancel, moj Plus keeps running until the end of the period you paid for. After that the limit of 30 messages applies again.
In Germany you can also end a subscription straight away and get a pro rata refund for the rest. You do that through Apple Support, not in moj.
Deleting is not cancelling. Deleting your account or the family space does not end a subscription. Cancel it first in the App Store, or it will keep running.
How do you get money back?
Through Apple, not through us. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com and choose “I’d like to” › “Request a refund”. Apple makes the decision. According to Apple’s help, you hear back after 24 to 48 hours.
Checked in Apple’s help on 8 October 2026.
