moj has its own number on WhatsApp. We never add it to your own chats, so it reads nothing there. Everyone in the family writes to that number in a chat of their own. In the app you can send the same things, typed or spoken.

I built moj as a father of three. Entering everything by hand was too much effort for me, and I lost track along the way. moj started as a side project for my own family. We still use it every day.

What is moj?
moj is a family planner app for iPhone and Android: a shared calendar, shopping lists, tasks and receipts for everyone in the family. Instead of typing things in, you send them: on WhatsApp, spoken or as a photo. moj files them where they belong.
Which family planner app is the best?
It depends on where things break down for you. Most of them are good calendars. If someone in your home enters everything anyway, that is all you need. We built moj for the other case: when nobody has the peace and quiet to enter anything. You just send it, and it ends up in the right place.
What does moj cost?
Everything moj can do is free. On top of that, moj sorts 30 messages a month on its own. Beyond that, it keeps each message until the next month begins. It still answers your questions. moj Plus lifts that limit. It costs €4.99 a month or €44.99 a year, for the whole family space. Outside the euro area the App Store shows the price in your currency. moj never shows advertising, and we do not sell your data.
Do I need WhatsApp for this?
No. You can type or say the same thing in the app. WhatsApp is just the fastest way in, because you are already chatting there.
Is there a moj widget?
Yes, on iPhone and on Android. There is a list to tick off, the shopping list, a clock with your appointments for the next twelve hours and a button to speak. On iPhone there are also widgets for the Lock Screen, for example one with the next appointment.
Does the whole family have to join?
No, you can use moj on your own. Anyone who joins later sees everything the family keeps in moj from that day on.
Who sees what I send?
Only the people you have invited yourselves. Nothing in moj is public, and strangers cannot get in.
What if moj gets something wrong?
In the app, undo sits next to every entry. On WhatsApp you reply “undo”. If moj is unsure, it asks one short question first.
Can children take part?
Yes, with limited access: lists, tasks and calendar. No receipts, no settings. A child does not need an email address. Their phone is set up with a code.
Where is our data kept?
The database is in Frankfurt. Photos and PDFs are kept in private storage in the EU. What you send is interpreted by OpenAI, and that processing is not limited to the EU. Sending our emails and managing moj Plus run through services in the United States. The privacy notice names them.
